Does DoneBeam read my conversations?+
No. Completion detection, project matching, colors, sounds, and diagnostics run locally in your browser. DoneBeam does not receive your prompts, responses, chat titles, project names, URLs, or browsing history.
What if I miss the sound?+
The visual FINISH signal remains on the exact tab until you acknowledge it. The sound is a convenience; the persistent tab signal is the source of truth.
Can I work in silence?+
Yes. Use flash-only, mute sound without disabling monitoring, or schedule quiet hours with separate sound and visual rules.
Which browsers and AI tools are supported?+
The private beta is focused on ChatGPT in desktop Chrome. Edge and other Chromium browsers are next, followed by Firefox and separate adapters for Claude and other AI tools.
Do I need a card for the trial?+
No. The planned Pro trial is seven days with no card. Free remains available for one monitored AI task at a time.
